Purple goatees turn heads

Up here in Thurso, students from the Hair and Beauty section are assisting the local rotary club with a charity event. Six Thurso Rotarians have grown "goatee" beards and are being sponsored to wear them dyed Purple for 5 days for the week beginning 22nd Feb. The students did a trial run last week with temporary dye for a Photo shoot to publicise the event, which proved eye-catching enough, and could almost be said to be an improvement. We are all now eagerly awaiting the purple versions.

The event is to raise funds for the Rotary Association ‘Thanks for life week’, which is raising funds to try to eradicate polio “from the face of the earth!”
