This course givies a qualification to food handlers by the Royal Environmental Institute of Scotland which is nationally recognised by all sectors of the food industry. Delegates are given six hours of tuition and must successfully complete a multiple choice question paper on the day to achieve the certificate.
The course covers:
Bacteria and how it affects food
Food pests and their control
Cleaning practices
Hygiene and habits of food handlers
Hygiene in the preparation, cooking and storage of food and current food legislation.
